PS3 FAQ's thread needed - need some help

i keep seeing some PS3 questions being asked again and again so I thought about making a PS3 FAQ's thread which will hopefully become a sticky. I could do with some help though so if anyone is interested let me know and then hopefully we could make it answer as many topics as possible.

thought about calling it "Everything you wanted to know about PS3 but were too afraid to ask!"

My initial thoughts on topics I need covering are these:

System Specs
OcUK PSN ID's
Upgrading the PS3's Hard Drive
Changing the PS3's wallpaper
Setting up a US/HK account
Using Lynux on PS3
Using an import PS3 in the UK
Blu-ray (BD) region coding
Bluetooth Headsets

Plus anymore that anyone can think of.

It's a good idea but no one reads stickies :(

Might want to include a bit on bluetooth headsets, which ones are good/compatible etc.
 
Setting up an account for USA, Hong Kong and Japan.

Why would you do this?

Having access to each store is kinda neat, each region gets demos and videos at different times.

Pretty straight forward, just make up some address. Use google to find a USA hotel or something. The Hong Kong setup is all in English.

lost mine one i did!!! Bloomin PCs! I can get it back this weekend when i get home its got most of what you asked for. Just need to make a thread with links for it .

Or just add it to this one?

you could email it to me in trust and I could add some extra bits etc and then start a new thread with it all on.

That makes more sense, wont be till tonight though, ill stick links i used in it for you.
 
there was one, that el started that had a lot of good info in it, but with no search it could be a bit of a bitch to find.

Ah yeah, forgot about that one. Maybe Zefan can dig it up for us with his magical powers of modness.
 
Please don't see this as an attack on this thread, but it's very well known we can only have 3 stickies, and I can't see half the board taking too kindly to losing the 360 thread. A merge of the two would work though.
 
Also include in the headset section that you can use any pc usb headset, especially useful if your bluetooth headset has any compatibility issues.

True, but we must have equality so if a merge is the only option then so be it.
 
360 FAQ needs an overhaul/restart imo, its a bit out of date in places now.

Now I know that different TVs produce different results but a cable comparison gallery would be handy for people to quickly see the difference in image quality across all the leads. I know there are some external ones for 360 so if you could find PS3 ones like that it may save some time. Maybe even go so far as a SD/HD comparison as we also get that question here sometimes.

I believe we have a sticky in here about making threads stickies perhaps Zefan can see about moving that out to make room for this FAQ?

Not only that, but I've just noticed that we have a sticky regarding PC games and an out of date Xbox Live list and info. I think that could probably go now...
 
Put a link to the latest firmware, and write a small how-to explaining how to install it via USB or Memory-Stick :)
