PS3 firmware 3.30 problems

i dont know if anyone else having the same problem or not but i cant play a single game after this update. it was all working fine i was enjoying playing DMC4 until i updated the firmware and since that i cant play it for more than 5 mins, console freeze,blank screen and nothing is there....have to restart and again same problem, am facing the same problem with BC2...anyone facing the same problem???


Edit : I cant believe Mod gave me such a huge punishment for not fully starring the swearing words even it was my first mistake, a 48 hrs ban..atleast i deserved a warning....anyway my apology for the mistake :D

i have ps3 slim 250GB its fine

however my ps3 fatty had similar symptoms to yours then it got worse and i got a new ps3.

mine started going to a blank screen randomly during multiplayer then crashed repeat every 10 mins or so.
 
Try and access the the recovery menu.

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu

1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

Try the restore filesystem and rebuild database options, and if it still doesn't work put the 3.30 update on a memory stick then try to reapply it using the system update option.
 
problem still not solved :(...now trying the full HDD format then full ps3 system restore and than update from usb ...hope it will work got my finger crossed

Surely by now you've realised this generation is defined by overlooked issues. We have children hurling Wii-motes with snapped wristbands into expensive HDTVs, 360s blowing up left right and centre and PS3 firmware updates rendering consoles useless.

It's pretty much something to expect.

Try the system recovery menu (look it up)

If that don't work... Id say it's actually your laser mate, and bad timing.
 
its been 4 hours since i asked my beloved ps3 to fully format the HDD and its still showing around 2 hours left....estimated time was around 7 hours....lol.....i hope it works....

i bought in january 2010, is that the life of its lens?...i dont wathc movie on it just gameplay
 
Mine failed to recognise the controllers after the update and wouldn't resync them even after the controllers were reset, shutting down the ps3 completely (turned off at mains) solved that.
 
no luck even after full HDD format, restore filesystem, rebuild database and update firmware....still same problem...and it seems like the problem is with BD-ROM as downloading workis fine when it comes to installation from disc it freezes unless u eject the disc
