PS3 firmware 3.30 problems

My ps3 is still going strong. Probably going to trade in for a slim once I get my composite cables.

i updated my ps3 and the games are working just fine. No problems as of yet.

My disc drive is spiining like clappers when I insert a DVD movie and I am getting random sign outs also. I thought they tested firmware updates before they release them.

Just froze while playing Uncharted 1... but it also froze playing uncharted 1 before the update.

Game is second hand and does have a few scratches. I've made it to chapter 20 with only 2 freezes however.

Uncharted has never worked properly for everyone with a fat PS3 since the ingame XMB patch. Sadly it's just something to live with now, i haven't managed to get it running at all for months now. If you do indeed get a slim, it'll work fine.

OH. It only crashed twice for me. Just finished it about 30 minutes ago. Found it pretty mediocre. From what I've played of the second one, its like night and day. First one was just clunky and the ai was dumb as hell.

I've only played 20 minutes of Among Thieves but can already tell its a far Superior game in every way.

i called sony yesterday....CS Rep asked me to fully format the HDD but when i told him that i have already done that then he said no problem they will exchange it with the new one...he took all my details.and today courier guy collected the old one and gave me the new one

.....just installing first game lets see what happens next....will keep you guys updated
