Final update
Took the console, original box, wires, BF3 case and receipt in to GAME. After much quoting of legislation the manager rang customer services. He was told to replace it with a pre-owned 60GB. He decided, against customer services wishes, that would mean I'd be back in 6 months so he gave me a 160GB Slim with new BF3
Can't be any more happy!!

This happened to mine. I got the disc out by turning the power off at the back. Holding my finger over the eject button. Then turning the power back on round the back.
Also known as the fan trick. It ejected my Uncharted 3 disc.

Ah didn't know that, another "feature" Sony took away? lol
I'm not going to bother replacing mine, now I'm stuck with a load of hardware and software that I need to get rid of.
