PS3 games for a 5 year old?

My 3 year old son really like playing Lego Harry Potter, but his go to game is Ratchet and Clank - a crack in time.

And he also like going to the park!!!!

Buy him a book instead? 5 seems too young to be plugged in to a PS 3. Maybe his Dad wants one too? :-)

You know, my kids only play games at certain times of the day, the rule is when their old man is home they can play. Otherwise it's books, reading, homework and playing outside on their bikes / power toys.

Can't say I'd bother with a PS3 for a 5 year old, a lot of the features won't really get used. Wii has a much better amount of accessible games that kids can enjoy and I'm not one to praise the Wii, played mine for no more than 4 hours and sold it.

But hey not my decision. You could get Motorstorm, not too advanced but fun, cheap and 3+

My 2 year old loves Hamster Ball, and Flower. Must admit to liking a bit of Hamster Ball myself, even finished it in the end:D

Loads of good stuff on the PSN for younger gamers.

i use games on the pc as an award, for may 5 year old. If he has done well with his reading and writing he can play grid, lego racing or playmobil.

he keeps trying to load bc2 but theres no chance hes playing that

My daughter enjoys EyePet and Start the Party. She much prefers her DS however; Wario, Mario Kart etc.

(Actually, Guitar Hero on the Wii too, drums or guitar provided it's on beginner!)

ok, just want to add to this my two boys play the Lego Series (BatMan and Star Wars) all the time and it gets them to troubleshoot problems and work together.. These are probably the best games for young ones and they're cheap.
