ps3 games = what region should i look for?

Hi, I have a ps3 bought in the UK. I am in Canada right now (just for xmas)and games here are a bit cheaper. But I just remembered with my xbox 360 the games are region dependent. Just wanted to know what region of games to look for for my ps3?
 
sorry if this changes the topic now.. but im off to buy a lot of games for the ps3. any recommendations? I play all kinds of games - racing, shooting, action, sports, rpg etc.
Here are the games I currently have: (Yes, just 4 games as of now lol)

1) Resistance Fall of Man
2) NBA 2k8
3) Oblivion
4) Dark Kingdom

Im looking to buy around 10 games. What are the hot tittles to look out for?
 
Uncharted
Ratchet
Motorstorm
COD4
Guitar Hero 3

Uncharted is the best of the bunch :)

If you can pickup these cheap;

Virtua Fighter 5
Heavenly Sword

Probably better skipping a football game but if you have to buy FIFA as PES is a pile of crap this year :| Dodgy framerates, crap music, broken online still not fixed, below average graphics, hardly any changes since the last version, need I go on?

Also, feel free to keep using this forum just to post questions and don't help anyone else :p

I'm only kidding, I'm the stupid one answering them all the time :)
 
People aren't recommending The Darkness?!
It's better than a lot of those mentioned.

Get Uncharted and The Darkness.

Edit: Just seen you have a 360, get The Darkness on that, it's better.

You mention the Darkness enough for everyone else not to. It's rare to find a ps3 thread where you don't manage to sneak it in, in some form. I'm only half joking as well ;)

Bring back some games and sell them on the Members Market here, you will make a killing, again only half joking ;)

Probably cos he can get them cheap and he has just bought a new console so wants to try out games he has missed out on?

Or maybe he had my idea to flog them on MM, before I mentioned it :D

Not just PS3 threads! I'll recommend it in Xbox360.
Hell, I'm gonna start posting it in Wii threads telling them to get a PS3/Xbox360 just to play it :p.
 
thanks for all the replies guys. The Darkness, UT3, Uncharted, Fifa08, CoD4, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword are all on my list now. Sorry I did not like motorstorm as I prefer something like Gran Turismo or Forza motorsport from the 360.
