hi all
today i bought a 24inch samsung from here, and a 2.1 cheap sound system, thinking i can use both my ps3 and my pc at on that screen for gaming.

I know I need to buy an HMDI to DVID adapter for the screen, but how do I get sound from my ps3??

Am I able to use the hmdi output for video then the sound cables that usualy go into the scart adapter (you know the red and white ones, same as the ps2 used) for sound by using one of these to turn it into a headphone signal http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-...yZ116853QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
any help appreciated, thanks

EDIT: if im not allowed the ebay link please delete it thanks

What i used in the past i think was a 2 way stereo audio phono switch box.

Had my hi-fi plugged in and then my PS2 and PC plugged into it, with a button to switch between the 2.

Do a quick google search for the 3 way variant of what i have said and u should get a couple of links, unfortunately they are a competitor (in the loosest sense of the word) so cant post the link directly.

Hope this helps

had a quick google and not sure if thats what I need.
The problem I have is that my ps3 is outputting hmdi that goes to a pc screen without inbuilt speakers, yet my pc speakers only have a headphone jack. I could use my old hifi as has a optic input but I didnt really want to have to use that. thanks
