The biggest drive OCUK have is 750GB (see link below), it's spec'd at 9.5mm high, it's possible to get a TB drive but the guide above suggests they won't fit (12.5mm high).
I'm interested in learning how that makes a difference as I was under the impression that you can't install games to the hard drive on the Playstation 3? Apart from those that have mandatory installs such as MGS4, and those that have optional installs hidden in the option menu's such as Tekken 6.

out of the games I have, I'd say about half install to the HDD. The only games I have that have an optional install are Street Fighter 4 and Super SF4. TBH, I'd struggle to remember which ones installed and which ones didn't.

I stuck a 500GB 7200rpm harddrive in mine quality and got about 250 mb left now. it took like less than 10 mins. Just bare in mind you never will get 500gb to use. My 60gb in my original was full when i upgraded mine so backed up to another hard drive installed the new one and copied everything over but i had used up like 70 or 80 Gb
