There was something a while back with Virgin Broadband users, never had a problem myself, I'm on Zen ADSL, If your on Virgin or whatever its called these days, might be worth doing a search.
Some people complain of slow PSN speeds, it's been a frequent complaint from day one, never ever had it myself though, I find it faster than Xbox Live .
Yeah i've never had slow speed before, I don't use the PS3 that much well not since launch for a few weeks, never really had an issue with the speed from downloading from the PSN. Switched it on tonight and its awfully slow, same on yank PSN and Jap. Maybe its my router or some other factor as both the yank and jap network wouldn't be the same as the Uk one.
It's actually contributing to something constructive and useful for the benefit of the whole of mankind... but if you see it as a waste of money then I suppose it's each to their own.!!!
Well I guess that's a matter of opinion isn't it. But if you really believe that turning off a peice of electrical equipment is going to make even the slightest difference in comparison to what China and India are contributing to global warming then you go ahead mate - anyway, that's a discussion for another section of the forum.
I think that folding@home is very worthwhile, but if you have a PS3 and don't agree then don't use it - simple really isn't it!
I'm sure Stanford University see it as a worthwhile addition to the console as PS3's now contribute 74% of the total computing power towards the project.
