PS3 Media Streaming, Help!

Gonna cry soon, hoping good old ocuk wisdom can help.

Problem - When im going to stream music its finding the server and letting me select 'music' etc, but when it goes to pull *** song information im getting a message saying 'A connection to the media server cannot be established, please check your network settings and try again'

Have i doen this right?

Go into WMP11 and under library select 'media sharing' and enable the 'unknown device' which has the MAC address of my PS3. Is that all you do, or is there more to it?

I think that you have to somehow add the files or folders which you want to share with your PS3 from within media player! At least that's what my mate told me when he was explaining how he did it, but tbh I wasn't really listening as I can't be bothered to try it

i had a play about with streaming earlier , all worked fine with nero

couldnt try wm11 because ms are saying my windows need validating i wouldnt be bothered but this is maybe the only version of windows ive actually bought properly
