PS3 Mouse and Keyboard

I just this min purchased a PS3 and im a bit over excited!! iI have some questions:

If i get a USB mouse and keyboard for my PS3 will i be able to use it with FPS games?

Also can you use any usb mouse/keyboard with the PS3?

Lastly- i have the 40GB PS3. how can i use both mouse and keyboard when one of the USB slots is going to be occupied with something else?

The only FPS game that supports it currently is UT3 I believe.

yep, only UT3, i don't think it will become widely accepted as people like to be on a level playing field and however good we get with the ps pad someone with a kb/mouse would always come out on top...

yeah you can use any USB kb/mouse, however if one is occupied you will need a hub or a wireless kb/mouse that only uses one slot etc... same rules as pc apply

If i'm honest, I picked up a bluetooth kb and mouse hooked it up over a yr ago to my ps3 and have never ever used them.

The only thing it's good for is the net. The only game that support KB and mouse is UT3.. If I'm going on the net, then I just jump on my PC that's 6 feet away.

As for you can you use both ? no as it stands.. Maybe if a usb hub works? Has anyone tried? I haven't sorry.
