Just playing a game and it took ages to load so i restarted the console and played a demo instead, and now i cant get the other game to work it aint appearing at all? I cant see it i take the disk out and put it back in and it wont come up at all?

Tried the classic of turning the PS3 fully off then on? (I mean unplu, not just via the unit). Tried any other games / dvd's?

Not good! 80010514 appears to relate to an issue with the Blu-ray software, stemming from an issue with either your firmware install or your hard drive. People used to think it was a Blu-ray drive error and in part it is, though it is not a hardware issue.
The only chance you have to fix yourself it is to reset your PS3 to factory defaults and format your drive. However that still might not work in which case your only option is to get in touch with Sony. Their support is very good, so don't be too worried. They will come and pick your old unit up within a few days and deliver you a new one at the same time. Just make sure you backup everything first either way!

It was probably installing some game data to the HDD and you caused corruption by turning it off when you're not supposed to.
