So, the other day i boot up my PS3, after 10 mins of it being closed, and the screen is just black.
80GB PS3
S2409W Dell 24" 16:9 screen with cheap generic 1m HDMI cable, and a panasonic 1m £12 cable.
Now, i dont have another HDMI tv/monitor to test, but with this one, it shows as the PS3 is connected and my speakers, connected to the RCA are working and can hear the bootup etc, but the screen remains black, no matter what cable, so thats ruled out the cable i'd pressume.
The screen is black, not blank, a slight different from blank, and it does detect the HDMI connected and the PS3 actually on, as it isnt powersaving mode.
When going via scart on an old TV the PS3 works.
I have tried turning it off by holding the power button 10s and turning it on with the power button by holding it for 5s when it makes the second beep but nothing over HDMI.
Is the screen at fault or is it the PS3's HDMI?
