This has been my plan since the xbox 360 was launched. Will wait a couple of days after its been delivered though, to see what the situation is like with shortages and prices on ebay. Will be so tempted to just open the box...
 
im still trying to decide if it will be worh ordering, can you connect to a HDTV via VGA?, my HDTV has VGA only you see.

If i do go for it, ill get 2 and sell one on i think :)
 
Ive heard that gamestation stores are getting 10 PS3 consoles for launch day then some more a few days later, no idea how many for internet orders though. No idea if this information is totally reliable, but seems about right to me. Also explains why gamestation have sold out in just a few days.

No-one knows what allocation they are getting at this stage, anything else is rumour or lies IMHO :)
 
Ah let 6 months of rumors and fake news reports begin.

I must admit it was quite funny witht he 360 OMFG 50,000 for the UK ONLY :p
 
Yes I believe ( from GAmes mag this month) that this is the MAJOR coup that Sony has over MS, in that they themselves can either produce most of the parts for PS3, or have VERY close relationships with the manufacturers of any outsourced materials and they have backup sources or factories for any 3rd party parts just incase something goes wrong in one location.

So mass shortages ( unless instigated by Sony to peak interest) wont happen, or there are REAL sell outs after the rumoured 6 million units have been sold before Xmas - or something in that region anyway i seem to recall

MS had xbox 360 being made 24/7 for months. Not sure how long it takes to make a xbox 360/ps3.
