I have a 32 inch hd lcd tv but it only has a dvi-d connection which is hdcp enabled.
This is for digital picture only and next to it are two phono connections for the sound.
I am thinking about buying a ps3 but need to no is there a lead that will give me sound and vision.
Also the tv is 720 and 1080i so what resolutions will blueray movies play at.

you can use a HDMI->DVI video cable and the normal composite one for the sound.

don't know about blurays

Thanks for the info hopefully someone will tell me about bluerays.

You could get a HDMI to DVI-D adapter, I believe these are readily available, however I am unsure if they come with the necessary phono leads.

Will the tv not scale it to 720 if not the ps3 is to me not worth buying at the moment.

Over component I know the PS3 will do blu-ray at 720P. DVDs seem to be stuck at 576 i though, not even progressive playback. However my own impression is that for DVD playback the PS3 looks better than the 360, over component at 576p and 720p over VGA, on my TV at least anyways.

As long as it will do blueray at 720p i will be happy.
thanks again for info
