PS3 Software update 4.0

I added the game to my wishlist ages ago and got it for Christmas I think. It's been sitting in the pile of things to do but I didn't really have any major urge to play it. Since I finished FF13 I was going to play Heavy Rain with the Move but the batteries were flat so instead I loaded up AC2 and it's been really enjoyable and I've not played anything else for the last 3 days :D.

It's so good that I've instructed the wife to get me Brotherhood for xmas this year! But yeah, had no real hype for it before playing it and now I'm gad that I did. MSG4 and GTA 4 on the other hand I was really looking forward to and just have not been able to get into at all.

You couldn't get into GTA 4 or MGS4?! How dare you.

In fairness MGS4 takes two chapters before it properly gets going, at first I was so disappointed because it was nothing like any of the other MGS games but then it really picks up and there's a massive slice of nostalgia in one of the later chapters which is probably one of, if not the best "level" I've played in any game. Brilliant ending and cutscenes too. :)

One of two games I've actually plat on, the only boring bit is the feather collecting...

I'll probably get it then, I imagine it's really cheap now. :)

If it helps I feel bad about it lol.

What you have to remember is that I never had a PS1, I ha a PS2 but no money to buy games so MGS2 was the only one I have played prior to 4. And after the install was finished and I started "playing" it just did not get going. I will try again, but having a cutscene every 30 seconds was just plain annoying.

And GTA4 is similar. I loved the original 2D games, I never had a PS1, I had a PS2 but never had GTA on it though I had played bits at mates houses. And then I loaded 4 up with all the hype about how amazing it was and found the controls loose and the camera smeared in vaseline. Again I will try again because I WANT to play both.

Ass Creed 2 on the other hand got you going within about 20 minutes. Similar for Batman AA.

I don't need a ******** warning every god damn time I start up my PS3

Other than that who cares. :p
