Hi,

I am using TVersity as my media server and have added a few video files which the PS3 picks up just fine.

My problem is that when I stream them the picture plays just fine but I don't get any sound

Sound is present on the original file through the PC.

I'm using an optical audio cable from PS3 to amp. HDMI to TV. Streaming is done wirelessly from PC-PS3.

All video files are in HD format.

Any advice would be more than gratefully received :)

Perhaps a silly question but did you install the codecs when you installed TVersity?
I've just installed TVersity and it's streaming xvids to my PS3 and outputting the audio via an optical cable without any problems.
I know from days gone by when I had audio issues with xvids on the PC and that was down to codec issues.

just avoid tversity and use the much simpler winmediaplayer as server. less stress on pc and better end result on ps3 .
