Id still prefer to get 1 at retail over ebay to many scamers on there these days and they wlll without a dout want to sell them for what they paid for them anyway.Once you have the money to get 1 you will be able to pick 1 up that day and not have to wait a few days for them to send it.

The more I think about it the more the PS3 seems the logical choice, now I have just got to convince the wife and work on the amp later in the year. On a side note which manufacturers are bringing out compatible amps this summer?

edit: Just done a quick search and seen Denon's new range of amps. Better start saving now.

i dont tihnk there will be a shortage simply because sony has had 5 months to get a stockpile built up. hopefully all those that did fill out perorders for 15 consoles (i saw several) arnt allowed to cancel and have 14 consoles they cant sell

bloody scalpers do my nut in. mine should be here friday and the only game i think my brother is definatly getting is FF12 lol.

This is really bugging me now, as for some bizzare reason, I want to get a PS3 purely as it is new, shiny and the latest thing to be released. It would also give me an excuse to get a 32" HD TV so I can watch Casino Royal in BR glory.

I blame you lot if I walk into town and pre-order one this weekend :mad:

One thing i have noticed about the PS3 Uk launch is that everywhere seems to have them for pre-order! Not sure about the Xbox360 launch but i cant remember supermarkets or online video rental places taking pre-orders for it.

I think it's down to the fact that Sony have something like 10 times the number of units for european launch than the 360 had.

Yep! I'm disappointed with the amount of released on HD-DVD - when compared to what's available on BR.

Thats because going by this site..

Sony confirmed one million PS3 consoles have been readied for the European launch, with around 300,000 of those allocated to UK.

thats quite a lot of consoles no wonder anyone can get 1 come friday with ease.
