I have a linksys WRK54G and I want to get the UPnP option on the PS3 enabled as I can't seem to play ranked matches online on UFC undisputed at the moment and my friend said this may be the problem.

This is what the screen looks like my PS3 IP is 192.168.1.101 what do I need to put in each box to enable the UPnP?

Thanks

You are on totally the wrong screen. I don't want to plug in my old Linksys that has similar screens but google suggests it is under the Administration heading (should see it along the top).

Hah oh well probably why I wasn't getting very far. I thought that must be it as it was called the UPnP screen :D

Cheers for that guide I'll have alook through it now.

I editted my post and added what you need (I think).. The guide Wyrdo posted is if you want individually forward ports for a certain game/system/application. You want to turn on UPnP, which automatically opens and closes the correct ports on the fly.

Edit: That guide is crap, no matter which PS3 game you select it gives you 6 numbered ports to forward, of which at least 2 are nothing to do with PS3 gaming (port 80 and port 443).

UPnP may actually be the problem if it's enabled. I was having trouble with it on my WRT54GS. I'd follow the guide and manually open the ports. Make sure you enable them as well, the image you posted looks like those ports aren't open. (not that you would want them to be!)

I'll give that a try, it's strange as I've just had a player match no problems it's just the ranked matches that don't seem to work

Hi Jon. Before you do that I just checked your original screen shot and you do not have any ports forwarded at all for your PS3!! I assume you have Nat type 3? I would expect issues to be honest, if that was the configuration.

Do you have MSN or something that will save me updating this thread?

It says NAT Type 2 do the ports make ranked matches different to unranked? I've sent you a mail in your trust with the address I use for MSN anyways :)

Well rp2000 spent some time helping, we ended up using the DMZ and it now gets abit further. It actually gets into the match I watch the intro to the fighters etc then as soon as the bell rings/match starts it goes onto the saving screen and saves something then disconnects me.

Now I have 5 disconnects from matches which also count as loses. Tried again and same happens. Thanks rp2000 for all your help! I think I'm just going to give up and see if it gets patched sometime.

Ah, I logged off too soon :(. Drop me a mail if you wish to change the settings back, but I think, in the long run, it is better to have a static IP address. You can toggle the DMZ option on/off from the router easily enough.
