Yeah Sony has problems, but so does the 360... at least with Sony expertise in creating quality consumer electronics (batteries not included) they aren't releasing a shoddy console to the market only for it to fail a hell of a lot, and I'm sure aren't gonna don't force firmware updates onto the public only for it to knacker half the consoles out there only for consumers to be charged to get it repaired!!!
Is this your best argument against Microsoft?
The problem with faulty machines is that when sent back they are replaced with B grade already fixed machines. Its not ideal and yes i agree something could be done here but people are getting their replacements pretty fast. You will also see threads that have many people including myself that still have working launch period machines.
Bad batches of production will happen in anything and im sure PS3 has its own fair share of failures, they might be more aware when Sony sell as many as 10 million too.
Open any Sony electrical equipment and you will find chips and hardware out-sourced from many other brands. The way you speak is of the Sony of old not of the Sony of today or recent times.
Like i said give me reasons to praise the PS3 and its launch thus far and i will praise it. I wont defend a corporation that bullies import companies or treats UK/Euro terrorities like 2nd class citizens charging them more and continually releasing software and hardware at much later times than USA or JAP regions.
I certianly wont listen to any of their PR nonsence that just isnt factual which they use to strenghen their brand.
