I changed my router security from WEP to WPA after I was told that WEP is just so insecure, but now my PS3 refuses to connect to the wireless router!

Its a netgear DG834G with the latest 1.30 firmware. I can get my MacBook, iTouch and pc to connect to it, the PS3 just won't have it. Any Ideas please, I'm getting very annoyed!

UPDATE:

WEP works fine, my wpa passkey is 8 digits, why does it work fine with everything except my PS3 arrrghhh

The PSP needs a firmware update to connect to a WPA device. Or you need to configure the PSP to stop using the old WEP and use the newer WPA.

Tried my router in chan 11, and its in wpa/wpa2 mode
so both should work.

Pass key is a simple 8 figure number. It just refuses to connect

Firmware on the router is the latest one, the PS3 firmware was updated a couple of weeks ago. Pretty sure its the latest version.

Is your WPA passkey nice and simple? Have you had to mess about with static ip's etc on your router?

thanks in advance

its the default one that came with the bebox, its an assortment of letters and numbers and because its WPA its case sensitive. And ive not given it a static IP or forwarded any ports either, literally just plugged and played.
