PS3 worth purchasing?

Yep, there's a big event at Silverstone. Likely to be playable versions of GT6 for PS3. Some people think it might be announced for PS4 as well... if so it would only be an announcement as I expect that nobody is going to get to play a PS4 until E3. I'd love to see a Vita game too...

Okay just agreed to buy one from a guy near me tomorrow. 12GB Super Slim, 2 controllers, Tekken V, Street fighter, Formula 1 2012, NFS most wanted, GTA IV, Liberty city stories, mod nations racing, NFS shift and FIFA 13. £120. Pretty chuffed. Just bought a 500GB 2.5 inch Samsung HDD for it too. Gonna get Ratchet & Clank Tools of destruction off my mate tomorrow. :)

Wow, very nice deal! The R&C games are great, I keep meaning to get the PS2 HD collection from PSN at some point. Although I might just hold off in the hope that it appears on PS+.

I sourced the Classic collection for £21 from a well known supermarket. Doesn't seem like a bad price. Don't see many copies of it on the bay though. :(

Superslim PS3 HDD big enough for BF3?

Guys,
Can anyone help me on this one. I have a small PC LAN at home that we game on, mostly COD MW1 and 2. I want to put in Playstations so the guys can experience a damn good game, they're not really gamers outside my house.
I'm getting fibre power in the next few weeks to handle 4-5 online at the same time but...
Sorry my question is will the 12GB superslim be big enough for Battlefield 3 alone as I checked last night and game data is 11GB and Game save data is 1.07 GB, and if not where do I get the bracket to fit HDD and what type of HDD? Is it the 9.5mm 2.5" 5400rpm SATA?
Cheers:confused:

Unlikely as most downloadable games need the install size and a bit more to install properly (depends on the game, but its usually another 50% of the games size).

Most people dont think the bracket is necessary and you can wedge something in to keep the HDD level

ps3ud0

So I got the PS3 today. Seems cool. HDD should be coming soon. And to the guy who asked about installing BF, no that will not work. A bit of the 12GB is used for system. Probably best off getting a second hand slim or phat with 60+GB HDD. Cheapest option anyway. But yeah, and 2.5" less than 9.5mm will work. 5400RPM seems to be the standard.
