Looks nice but will it be good? My Jabra BT headset sounds crap, yet cheap £5 wired ones sound 100% better.

Wish they just bundled a cheap headset with the console that plugged into the controller or so, many more people would have mics and actually sound half decent too.

I'm sure sony didn't really know just how big online was untill a year into the PS3's life. They're just now starting to get their act together with their online.

nintendo gave out free wii control pad protectors did they not?
ms gave our free games and pads with the xbox?

Yeah but the control straps cost peanuts and how big was the install base when MS gave out the free controllers? Besides MS could give away a million 360's and it wouldn't make a dent in their overall financials whereas Sony are struggling to get back into the profit margins which they once received.

I get what you're saying but, being realistic, it's never going to happen.

Yes but apparantly the official one is much more functional as it's built for the job.
