Hi there does anyone know what sort of usb plug i need to charge my PS4 controller?
I have tried my Apple ones i have but none of them work. Looking for something i can plug into the mains.

Thanks.

Micro usb.

Don't plug it in to the mains though mate you'll probably blow up your controller. Buy yourself a charging station. Or set the ps4 to charge controllers whilst in standby.

Ahh right ok, was looking for something so i could charge maybe overnight/during the day without having the console on.

Thanks.

If you have a smart TV you can also charge DS4 pads using the built in USB hub most smart TV's have. Been charging mine this way since I got the console as I don't like the USB cable hanging out the front of the PS4, looks untidy IMO

Not got a smart tv but my tv does have a usb port. Thing is 9 times out of 10 the PS4 and tv are on at the same time, this is why i wanted a mains charger :(

I use the same plug that came with my nexus 5 to charge my DS4, it also uses the same cable as well.

I think most android phones use the same cable, so if you have an android phone or tablet you can just use the exact same cable and plug you use to charge them as you can the DS4.

You can buy any USB mains charger and plug a micro usb cable in tbh, the DS4 will only draw the power it needs to.

Just charge the DS4 when the PS4 is in standby mode, or buy an extra long Micro USB cable to charge whilst playing.

All sorted and thanks for your help guys. Found one of my daughters old blackberry charger and that works a treat.

Yeah it seems to, the light at the front was flashing/pulsing orange. Now its not so i presume its fully charged.
