PS4 keeps turning off?

Oh? That shouldn't happen? Sounds like a console fault. I would take it back and get another

Its on the top of some draws so completely open. Ive had it a good while in this position, don't know why it would suddenly start doing this.

Worth giving the vents a clean to free them of dust, could be overheating.

I *think* that this is the same issue I had when mine kept spitting the disc out. Most random times, I'd wake up at 3am to hear my PS4 beeping as if someone keeps pressing the eject button but there's no disc in it, although the disc was already hanging out the front.

A hard reset fixed it, try that

I had that issue. Someone asked if I had it on a glass surface, which I did. Put a dinner mat underneath and problem solved.

Update - played it more last night and didn't get any issues, so I'm not really sure what was going on. Well ventilated and the vents were clear themselves. Not on a glass surface either.

I was thinking it could be down to some power issues in the building, but then it would have most likely shut down completely and not gone to rest mode. Will see how it goes!

Looks like the PS4 front buttons are prone to being triggered by static. Try raising it a little on something non-conductive.
