Hi all
Getting a PS4 pro tomorrow and need advice on airflow.
It will be going into a tv unit that only has a little hole for the wires to pass through. I know this will be an issue for cooling the console to iv been looking into getting the heat away.

Pictures to show. The Wii will be moved out.

I was thinking of getting 2 80mm AC infinity fans and putting them on top at the back of the PS4 to push the heat out the front.
Or putting a fan as a exhaust on the back of the unit.

Ideas?

Thanks!

The fans are unnecessary. Leave it as-is, and if it starts getting too hot you could always make the opening at the rear bigger.

I’ve got my Pro sitting in something similar and whilst it does make a bit of noise (not that much) it’s been fine.

Realistically the only way to improve the situation would be to open the back of the unit out entirely to allow the hot air to escape. The fans will just move it around a bit.

I used a circular hole cutter and added 2 extra holes to my unit behind the Pro. It helps as the air passes out the holes and does not just circulate around. You cannot see the holes from the front.

i went for Ac Infinity Multifan S5, Quiet 80mm USB fan, Two exhaust at the back, 1 exhaust for AV Receiver (left flat) and intake to the PS4 (right) and control by Amazon Alexa to turn it on and off. Now stay nice and cool.

Well if you plan to mount fans if the holes are not enough make the size of your holes based on the fan size.

If you make the holes line up with the rear of the Pro you won’t really need fans as it will blow the heat out the holes. That’s what i did...
