PS4 Pro power cable...

Howdy folks,

The power socket on my UK PS4 Pro (not imported or anything) is the size/shape of a kettle socket, but has only the left and right pins.

Does anyone know if I can use a regular 3-pin kettle lead to supply power to it?

I've had a quick mooch on Reddit, apparently you can. The missing pin is for ground so it shouldn't cause any problems. Disclaimer - you try it at your own risk.

Use a 3 pin myself as I move it between bedroom and living room, no issues.

Yep, just the earth pin missing. I replaced mine with a standard kettle cord and it works fine.

Don't think that's the right plug type.

I'd recommend getting the correct cable instead of getting something that "could work", it's likely it will... but I'd hate to read something happened.

Yeah might help if you read the thread, Pro's dont have that connection.

It will work absolutely fine. The earth wire just won't be connected to anything.

The Pro's released with the RDR2 bundle and onwards do have that connector.
