PS5 Hard Shut Down - Overheating

PS5‘s have issues with the power supply’s where they just shut off with no warning. It mainly affects the launch models but has been seen in the newer revision as well. Sony using cheap components is the main cause yet they have put the price up……. Nice.

If you watch repair videos its the most common problem PS5 consoles are having. One guy had three all with the same power supply issue. We are not talking RROD levels but it is quite a common problem. I have a few ex workmates that fix consoles and they say early model power supplies are the most common fault occurrence they put it down to poor quality parts and poor cooling of the PSU. The series X suffers with SSD failures but it’s not meant to be as common as the PS5 power supply issue.
