PS5 or an RTX 3080 rig. Which would you choose? (video)

If I wanted into gaming with a limited budget it'd be PS5 easy, nothing comes close £ for £.

Is this true, though? You know how expensive the console games are and you have to pay for every one!
Also, you have to buy compatible TV screen which is more expensive than an ordinary monitor.

If you use your head console gaming is cheaper. I rent most SP games and even if you buy you can trade in when done. I only really buy one to two games a year for ps4. All the rest are rented and this is shared between the mrs one x and both daughters have a switch. Saves me a fortune. I pay £15 a month which gets me 2 games at a time. On PC everything is digital so it's a fixed cost.

You own the console games you buy, and assuming you buy thrifty, can get some good deals. You don't have to pay the 70 quid if you are prepared to wait.

Valve have done a really good job making pc gamers think they own their games, but really we are just renting them. All the while introducing gambling into their live service games, and yet still come out smelling of roses.

The PC gives upgrade options - higher framerates and better visuals

Plug in the PS5 to my TV and it'll work, think you get a free game too.

You don't need any proof/links/vids that the PC is of higher quality, that wasn't the point I made.

On a limted budget I'd rather play the same games regardless the (imo not that much less)quality, as the cost of PC gaming has sky rocketed.

Of course all the good PC games are free and almost nobody has a TV they can use a console with.

god forbid they have a monitor and speakers...they will have to go in the bin as no way to make them work with a console.

As a person who last owned a console back when the Super Nintendo was a thing I did not realise that Play Station owners have to pay a monthly subscription to pay online!

I thought this was scandalous when I first heard about it.
