Aye, constantly trying to beat a burning lap was the biggest frustration. Crash at some point and know you have to restart and it takes forever.

Cue lots of swearing, lots of reloading and lots of time wasted whilst it loads.

How bad must the game be, an opportunity to show them playing it, and they cut off before the game starts :p

Does look very nice though, March cant come quick enough, just need a new tv with more HDMI sockets now. :)

Our friends at Sony have asked us to remove the video from this site. This video showed a final PS3 test machine working and playing MotorStorm in the PSM3 office (and a crowd of men drooling at its majesty). It's a shame but, in order to return the favour for letting us play on PS3 we want to do as they ask. Yes, we love PS3, yes, we only want to say great things about it, and yes, this video proved that PS3 is alive and not only 'well' but 'brilliant' BUT we've been told that the time isn't right for the mighty Sony to reveal such magic to the world. Rest assured that as soon as we have our own PS3 (possibly within the next two weeks) we'll be singing its praises (and videoing its ass off). In the meantime, for more on the PS3, that video and further inside info check out our next blog, coming later today.

Jeez, only Sony would get in a tiz some free publicity! Espeically GOOD publicity! I thought the machine looked good and the games looked great. after all the bad press they have had recently, makes you wonder if its a trained (make that semi trained) chimp running the place.

On the issue with loading times, i haven't noticed any bad loading times on the xbox that i can remember :confused: sure there are loading times but nothing more than i would expect from a optical disk system tbh

It's the same with any mag that makes a living off one company I know but still...

Ah, but think about it a minute! By making them take the video down they get even more publicity and people start searching for the video elsewhere to find out what all the fuss is about - it really wouldn't surprise me if this was contrived to start with.......call it viral advertising ;)

I thought the first leak would have done that, now the taking it down makes them look small minded and petty like banning importers of the PSP lol

Well if thats not treating the general public like a bunch of morons I don't know what is. As for the long load times I'm from the speccy/c64 days when 30min load times were the norm, if it loaded the first time, so the 360 is like lightening to me. Not sure if I believe the PS3 to be quiet though
 
Well, Luke called it. Sony's wireless PS3 controller has been dubbed SIXAXIS. The Bluetooth supported, USB outfitted controller will be packaged with the PLAYSTATION 3 or can be purchased in Japan for 5,000 yen (US $43) starting November 11th. It is possible to switch the SIXAXIS from wireless to wired controller via USB. According to SCEI, The wireless controller can be operated for up to 30 hours when fully charged.

That same day, Sony is also selling a USB Memory Card Adaptor. It will go for 1,500 (US $13) and can be used to transfer PS2 or PSX game data for the PS3 harddrive. Moreover, Sony announced sales data for the BD remote. Previously, we posted the system's Blu-ray Remote Controller. This will drop on December 7th for 3,600 yen (US $31).

I'm sure that I read they had changed the controllers connectivity to rF wireless (the same technology behind Xbox360) because BT was too draining on battery life.

I believe it's still Bluetooth, well Sony have bluetooth still on the spec sheet, and the Wiki entry still says it also.

Nah they always knew the risks of Bluetooth and people where wondering why they wouldnt switch. But TBH bluetooth makes so much more sense thinking about it. The bluetooth headsets they make should be usable straight away, also expect bluetooth conenctivity between the PS3 and SonyEricsson mobile phones, with sharing pics etc, also the SonyEricssons can remote control devices with bluetooth, so it does make sense.
 
aye, and BT on my mobile doesnt kill the battery life too badly either...

And if you dont like SIXAXIS, whats your take on WiiMote then?

You are aware dyslexia only effects reading and writing, therefore not names of stuff or how you pronounce something.
However, rhotacism would affect pronunciation of 'r's as 'w's.
