Reminds me of a top down shooter that i used to enjoy on the old x box, name escapes me now though

downloading now, still had a couple of quid in my psn wallet, game for a fiver.. nice surprize that.

lots of fun so far. very dark, missed a few zombies, might be an idea to turn the contrast up a little (or maybe shine the flashlight in the right direction

Out of all the other (very IMO) similar games on PSN - hows this compare? Things like Alien Breed and Burn Zombie Burn etc...
Tempted as Ive not bought any of them but this actually looks good graphically and seems cheap at £8

I only had Burn Zombie Burn, haven't tried Alien Breed of Zombie Apocolypse though.
Just trying our Dead nation now, will let you know later on.

Cheers rp - knew you had BZB but hadnt touched it since you replaced your PS3 - I have tried Alien Breed demo on PSN and enjoyed it but knew the PSN versions were way behind the PC (think theres 2 sequels already)...

Just tried it and quite impressed, just on level 1. You can collect points via orbs and use them to buy weapons/armour/grenades etc. Alien Breed meets Gauntlet. Graphics are very good as there seems to be a lot going on and no slow down etc. Not a cartoony game so hard to compare to BZB, seems more skillfull than BZB and I like the whole collect points and upgrade element.
Need to play it longer, ideally co-op tbh, to fully try it out.
I liked Joe Danger a lot (another game I did very well in but cba to play now all my scores and progress are lost with my old PS3). Both very different games so hard to pick between them.

er, so how do you upgrade your armour then?, think ive missed something along the way..

The Weapon shop lets you switch around which armour you have on each part of the body (head, torso, legs). I think you collect armour, then it is selectable in the shop. I only picked up one piece of armour and could select 3 different ones, so 2 must be enabled by default.

I think I picked some up out of the crates, it seems to just add an extra star or two and add a number after the # in the name.
