Hello

I was wondering what do you think gives you a better gaming experience?

This isn't to start a war or to see what console is better but just to see other opinions on online gaming.

My opinion is Xbox Live as you get what you pay for because its more social with my friends and we can all speak in a party.

This will just cause conflict. Most on here are aware of the differences between Live and PSN and the search function will bring up countless threads on the subject. And so for that reason, I am out.

Conflict? I just assumed this forum seemed to be a lot more mature than others and can discuss our opinions on something..

Well I haven't, so I can't really comment on how Xbox live feels more like a social experience.

Live's blessing (and curse!) is that everyone got a mic.

Both are adding new features all the time.

Both do the job, so it all depends on which console you prefer.

Dedicated servers are needed for games on consoles!

Have both but I prefer the 360 mostly because most of my games are on that console and friends are on XBL

My bluetooth headset seems to be less quality than the stock wired xbox headset and why do you think dedicated servers are needed?

2 words, Host Advantage.

This and
People with bad connections hosting
Not being able to play with the same people regularly without strategic use of friends lists

Due to this last point most online console games die out fairly quickly and only the really popular ones stick around.

I own both consoles, and I find Live is a better experience. PSN is good because it's free but theres just something lacking about going online with the PS3. You gets what you pay for.

Have both, but prefer Xbox Live.

For one I prefer the layout of the dashboard and it's very quick to see all the latest stuff.

I like the unified friends list and ability to quickly make a party and play.

I like the Inside Xbox shows that they do, sometimes quite amusing as well.

It costs money sure, but I have friends who own PS3s as well as Xboxs, yet we all seem to end up playing everything on Xbox.

PSN is better than Xbox Live

BUT, Xbox live is just as good as PSN....

Although PSN has advantages over Xbox Live

PSN just lacks something Xbox Live has

To sum up, Xbox Live is better.

But only because it's made by Sony

Friends list, achievements and other online features are all implemented better on the 360. It feels more complete.

PSN is functional but ultimately feels rough around the edges. Sony are still playing catch up.
