psp DS or something else,

looking for a mobile gaming solution for under 250 quid

looking at both psp's ds's and a few retro bits of kit

anyone care to comment on either or make a suggestion?

a psp for sure if you do some googling about what can be done with it

although if you "only" want gaming then you could get a DS and save some money

depends what type of games you want too

i like drivey stuff( NFS forza) and other stuff like GTA etc hence i'm leaning towards a psp what are they like graphics and gameplay wise loading times etc

But you cant use google to see what can be done with the DS?

The graphics are very good not far off a PS2 last time I checked, but as you mention mobile gaming, I hated mine as the screen was too reflective to appreciate the graphics anyway, and the machine wasnt something you felt comfortable with in the pocket or leaving laying around. I would rather it was DS lite size with a clamshell for mobile use, or a much bigger size like half a laptop for using as a semi portable in the house would have been nice.
In the end I got bored of the style of games anyway, the DS is much better for quick pick up and play and games easy to get in and out of.

Loading times are not good sadly. Perhaps this will improve with the new PSP though.

Id also say make sure you have a go on one before you buy it. I was tempted to buy a psp until i tried the sham that is the analogue 'nub' its a really crap control system.
