I've got a standard speed 2GB card and listen to music and watch movies and have not noticed any stuttering so I would say for playback it makes no difference. I suppose it might help a little bit with transferring but for daily use I wouldn't worry about it if they cost a lot more.
I'm not sure about the size of the 4GB cards but there is an issue with some of the fake cards of all sizes not always fitting properly. I unwittingly bought a fake 2GB card and it works and fits fine but they're not all like that. Apparently something like 80% of Pro Duo cards are fakes but of they work just as well and cost half the price it can't all be bad. Do a Google and you'll find loads of articles about how to spot a fake and the possible downfalls.
