PSP Online?

Hi,

I have decided to buy myself a PSP (White) and it has Firmware 2.5

My friend and I are big sports fans (Formula 1, Football, Snooker etc.) Now I understand that if we are in the same room or close together we can connect and play against each other.
However, with the ability for the PSP to go online, is it possible for us to play against each other as long as we have connections to the www?

As long as the game supports it yes, and as long as the game itself is from the same region, you can't play US vs UK fifa.

I play fifa '06 online all the time. Theres not many people as my copy is american, i'm sure theres far more on the UK servers, plus its a nightmare when you get someone with lag, as if you disconnect it harms your reputation.

Worst of all was the hassle of signing up to EA's online system, had to come up with a login name, username, then agree to allow spam mail from their sponsors or pay $2.50 to sign up.

Also bad for me are some of the people, i played some guy a few days ago as arsenal, and the guy played with brazil which i think is slightly unfair, theres no way to match teams or limit it to club vs club.
