Psp or Ds lite???

Got my PSP from Japan last April and was immediately impressed with it. 16 months later and I've sold it because none of the games really interest me now. The games are basically ports from the PS2 minus lots of the best bits. Pro Evo is damn frustrating, Football Manager is quite boring and GT Mobile is never coming out (it would seem). Now I'm going to buy a DS Lite because the games look a lot more fun, enjoyable, rewarding and innovative.

DS Lite for me then :).

DS can play movies and MP3s now as well. Some carts have a SD/CF slot so you can go up to over 4 GB of storage

The MP3s can play, even with the DS closed as well. :)

But the quality of the movies is extremely poor in comparison to the UMD.

Own both and finding it hard to choose between them.

Both systems have exclusive titles that make me want to keep the console (DS-Brain Training PSP-Lumines).

PSP in my opinion has the edge on sounds, graphics and general features (web browser, photo viewer, mp3 player, mp4 playback etc) while the DS wins in terms of innovation (touch screen, microphone etc).

I think you need to consider what games you like and the environment you intend to play in. Plus what consoles do your friends have and what opportunities are there to borrow/swap games?
