psp or ds-lite

hi ppl i'm looking to buy a hand held but undecided which way to go PSP or DS-Lite. which is better i'm not interested in the ability to watch films just wanna play games on it.
 
If your just interested in games.. there is no question about it.

Get a DS!! :D


Most PSP games are poor ports from the PS2.
The only game i enjoyed on my PSP before selling it was Burnout!


The DS has lots of fun games "Harvest Moooon" :p :D

I'm sure everyone will agree :)

there are loads of threads on this kind of thing. Just look what everyone else has said. No one can really make the decision for you.
 
i know no one can make it for me i just wanted ppls thoughts on them and just wanted abit of knowledge on both before i lay down the cash for one thats all.
 
Both are good from different aspects...

PSP is a better media machine, 2GB cards can be bought for about £35, which gives you enough to watch on planes, built in browser and RSS feed etc etc. On the downside the games are frequently poor, although there are a few good ones out there.

DS is a better games machine, much more fun to play, but less of the media capabilities.

Personally i have both and would recommend the DS if you just want a fantastically unique games machine, but if you want it for travelling etc then the PSP has more worth.
 
To be honest it depends what you like. No doubting the psp's graphics are better but to be honest the only game I play on it is FM. Ha.

I love my Lite, I play it all the time, to me the games are much more fun. They still look good too.
 
i was leaning towards ds because i like some nintendo games but dont get to play much anymore coz dont like there consoles. psp seems to have nothing unique and i've got 360 so handheld want nteresting games that interest me think i'll go with ds cheers ppl for your help . :)
 
I've owned both and they're both great pieces of kit but the DS wins by having more fun games available to play.
 
Get the one that has games on it which you are interested in.

I have had both for me the psp was the better hand held however most of the games lacked the ability to just pick up and play for a few minutes. My DS lite on the other hand has loads of games that can be just played for 5-10minutes at a time and you have to dealve to deeple into them.
 
I've never been able to get into the psp, but I love my ds lite. I'd say the PSP is for people who want serious games, but the DS is for those who want something silly to mess around with.
The best thing to do is see if you can try each of them and see which you prefer.
 
I have both and can confidently say get the DS, the games are much much more fun. PSP are just awful cut down PS2 games on the whole. If you want mobile media then get a portable media player rather than a console ;)
 
I just got my DS-Lite today :D Stuck at work though for the next 45 minutes. Got the Mario game and Dr Wossisname' Brain workout thingy.
