psp or ds-lite

i've got both but i tend to use the psp more as i can double up as an mp3 player
but it comes down to what games you like, there's plenty of good games on both systems
bear in mind that anything that relies on graphics is crap on ds

I've got both and there is no clear cut winner at first, I loved my psp when I first got it with games like Ridge racer and Lumines but it does lose it's appeal after a while and trying to find original fun games on the psp is hard (pretty much all the games have already appeared in PS2 in one form or another)
However with the DS may take a little time to get used to the touch screen but after a few try's it really comes ito its own with games like truama centre and advance wars being really addictive.
my vote goes to the DS but it is your choice :)

first i dont own either.

I borrowed a PSP with bag of games. was given it for long as i wanted within reason from owner. I got bored after hour first night. tried again second night and then gave it back. Screen ghosting on gta ****** me off.

Borrowed a ds for a night. Didnt want to give it back. Id be buying a ds. prob get one fro crimbo

PSP is a great machine - sure a lot of games have been on ps2 but the best ones are superb ports. Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, Syphon Filter, Tekken, GTA, PES5, Everybodys Golf, Burnout are all top notch.

Yeah but for the price of it?

DS all the way, PSP is for people who have to have cool things, and tell people all about how cool their PSP is, DS is all about fun!
Hopefully the Wii will go the same way, I hope so, still can't get enough of my Gamecube!

Hate these types of threads as it brings out a lot of stupid comments or people putting down one system to justify their own purchase.

I believe both are great systems and you would probably be pleased with either but best to decide what you want from a handheld and review the games available on each.

Both now have a huge catalogue of varied games, some bad, but plenty of great ones.

I myself went for a PSP just before xmas last year and still play it constantly, my reason for choosing the PSP was the games available on it (already got a Gamecube for those Nintendo classics), the fact that I could use it to watch films/tv on it when needed on the odd occasion, and it’s ability to run certain homebrew apps/utils (but not to be discussed here).
