My psp won't read any memory sticks. I've confirmed that the memory sticks work by using them on my pc. The little light just keeps flashing on the psp.

Not sure whats wrong.

Anyone had a similar problem with the psp?

Is the PSP the same as the PS3 in that the PS3 needs to have external storage formatted in FAT32 for the system to recognize it. If its formatted in that way then Im unable to help any further.

have you tried plugging the psp up to the pc in usb mode then seeing if the pc can see the stick from the psp?

if that doesnt work it sounds like the card reader in the psp might be knackered :(

could always send it to sony or find a psp mem stick reader on flea bay if you feel comfortable with the idea of opening it up.

i have no idea if it is feasible or even possible to replace the psp card reader with out replacing the whole main board, i would send it to sony :(

could just be a corrupted flash 0 chip though and if it is sony gets no monies if you use google properly :)
