Considering I'm not interested in playing films on it, is there any reason why getting a US/Jap PSP would cause problems when it comes to playing games?

i have a jap and a USA psp, both are fine

i have the jap one updated with the latest UK firmware

I have a whote japanese one, works fine with US and UK games... for sale in the MM btw

Might be a problem if you wanted to play wirelessly against a friend with a UK machine - although that might just be when playing two games from different regions rather than machines. Might be worth searching the web to check.

shouldnt be a problem playing wireless, as long as the games are the same region. the psp itself is region free for games (will play games from any region)

Japan has a UK region for movies anyway, so if you got one and did decide to get a movie, all is good

I thought they were lowering the prices so that the base pack was £100? Or was I dreaming (hoping) this?

Nope, still £150 icl. delivery to import a white one and afaik only the 1gb pack is available here for £200 (black)

u should see no problems exxcept the fact that u cant play UMDs! who gets them anyway?
