PSU advice

Hi all,

Just need a little bit of advice please.

I'm in the process of building a new computer.

Intel bad axe II
E6700 want to overclock slightly
8800GTS OC 640mb
4gig ram
dvdwr
250hdd

Would a Hyper typeR 480Watt psu be OK?

Doubt it, the Hipers have a bit of a rep for dying when under strain. I wouldnt risk those components. Get yourself a new one, at least 500W

Corsair HX 520

Hiper had a very bad run with that particular 480 W model. A great number of them experience premature failure.

Yeah, it'd do just fine, though the Corsair would be quieter.

No, the OCZ's are not very good either. The ripple is very bad amongst other things. I have also had a 700w GameXstream fail after only 3 months.

Get the 520W Corsair. Apparently they're the best at the mo. Always get great reviews
