So I bought this PSU had it in for over a week, been gaming all week no apparent problems, then this morning I turned on PC, it was running idle doing nothing then it blew with a loud pop, shorted the house breaker, I had to put my old Corsair cx750m back in for now and everything seems fine, it doesn't seem to have damaged any components so at least it had 'some' kind of protection on it just not enough, the site and product box don't appear to state what kind of under/over-voltage protection this unit has so that is also something to wonder about..

EDIT: used a PSU tester on it and can confirm its dead (no lights)

Damn, what could cause this? Just a faulty PSU you think?

Faulty PSU, or another system component, or a power spike/dirty power being fed to the PSU from the mains.
