psu cable braid

cable braid can be expensive particularly if imported from Germany. Paracord is an excellent cheaper alternative which can be gotten from famous auction sites

I've used paracord and it worked great, its not as flexible as proper braid but it looks nicer at about 1/5th the price.

Slight thread hijack but are the bitfenix/akasa extensions you can buy made from paracord or are they more mdpc like?
 
More like MDPC, they're not bad by any means. I would avoid the NXZT ones though, they're not very flexible/bit cheap feeling.

Thanks. I'd love a go at doing it myself but the 2 power cables are not modular on my psu so don't fancy voiding the warranty to open it up.

Yours looks mighty fine (I assume your using the fully modular seasonic sfx supply in yours)

I've found some nice green/black extensions on the bay which I might purchase.

I won an awesome case on Facebook the other day (a Parvum Battlebox) so wanna get my rig looking slick (have just upgraded 90% of my components so it's a good time)
 
I'd be more than happy to do sets of extensions for you guys. If you loom at my parvum build log you can see my mdpc-x braiding and my paracord braiding.

I wouldn't charge you anything other than materials and postage!
