PSU cable query

So I'm thinking of getting the Corsair RM1000x shift for my new build, it should fit nicely into my 5000D airflow case but if anyone has this PSU does it come with the cable direct to my 4090FE or will I have to buy that separately?
The ones that come with the card a a bit bulky that's all.

According to the specs on Corsairs website it should be supplied with said cable.

The RMx SHIFT does, the RMx does not. PSUs listed as ATX 3.0/PCI-E 5.0 should come with a compatible 12/16 pin cable.

So the cable from the 4090 connects to the PSU by 2 x 8 pin connections (that came with the PSU) instead of the 4 x 8 pin adapter supplied with the card?

It depends on the PSU and how they manage their proprietary 12/16 pin cable, but for the RMx SHIFT: yes.

Some people consider what Corsair do an improper implementation of the standard (i.e. the 12/16 pin should connect to the PSU using the same connector), but I don't know enough about this to say either way.
