Right I've got my new PC and I've been braiding cables for the past couple of nights and its really doing my head in. I'm known for my great patience, but I can't handle this haha.

Anyway. my problem is, my 24 pin had like a missing cable, an empty space on the plug and I've been taking 1 cable out at a time and putting it back in.but I've just noticed I've put one of the cables into the free space and had started another one when I noticed this. So I've taken that cable out so the free space is free again and now I've got 2 cables and 2 holes and I don't know what cable goes where.

So my main question is, can I put the cables in either hole, or if I put them in the wrong hole, will I end up breaking the PC?

Hopefully you guys can understand that.

You would need to check the cables are in there correct positions, have a search on Google for the pin out diagram which shows what cable goes where.

Almost every company is different with their pin layout on the modular side. Be very careful of what you put where! You could very well blow things out.

As said above, google the pin layout for your specific PSU.

Ah cheers I think I've got it. I never knew you got these diagrams. I found one end in the manual and the other end I went by someone's diagram on another website. Which corresponded with the colours in the manual .

I'll buy another 24 pin cable one day and I'll finish the rest of the sleeving on a rainy day.

I know your pain, Sleeving cables is an absolute bore. I gave up in the end and got braided extension cables! :D
