I sold a Thermaltake Toughpower XT 1275W Gold PSU and the guy couldn't get it running, after leaving it on all night he was able to get it to power and is saying when he turned it on he got sparks, flames and massive plume of smoke (smoke alarm goes off), killed his SSD.
It was fine when i sent it and i have received it back and no sign of any damage to PSU, no cables melted, no smoke smell and it powers up fine for me, ran it under load and no issues. Guy is a member on here so not saying i don't trust him but i can't RMA a working PSU, how likely is a high end PSU like this to cause issue above and leave PSU undamaged?
