PSU EXPLODED!!!! NEED HELP

my case have 8 fans and a small led monitor which tells me the temperatures of cpu graphic card and hard disck . A 500w PSU is it enough?

Yeah, but no one really knew about Hiper's "little problem" till later. Including me when I built a PC for a mate back in 2006. Warranty sorted him out though.

Yes. But 550w are more common.

Hiper actually fixed their second wave of psu's, called Type R Mk 2, in 680W and 880W. These were actually manufactured by Channel Well and not Andyson. CWT are the same company who make power supplies for Tagan and some Seasonics.

Unfortunately the damage had already been done to Hiper's reputation and no enthusiast takes them seriously, with good reason

Another friend of mine built his Core i5 system using an "Octigen" PSU bought from somewhere in Bolton. The first time I found out about it, I nearly shrieked - though he was planning to upgrade it anyway. I hurried him along with his upgrade

Ummmm, I got one of those (was 580 watt)

They refunded it though, and I bought a tagan 580 watt instead.

I use cheapish PSUs in budget builds but even the 350W ones i get cost more than £30

For a quality build a good CPU is the number one component, you can move it build to build aswell.

Just goes to show you that even the best makes have problems too. Saying that I still think they're good. Cost me over £20 to RMA it though.

Just wished Corsair had a UK RMA address. My other PSU (Seasonic) hasn't got the warranty, the Corsair has so I would've been shelling out for a new one had that one gone bang instead.
