PSU fan change

I was just thinking of doing this as my PSU fan is really loud. Its a crap cheapo PSU so I don't have to worry about a warrenty or anything. Could i remove the current one then wire a normal case fan up to a normal 3 pin power lead?

Or splice to wires inside, some are temp controled,

just changed it but still nosey. no other fans to try in it

any way of modifying the speed of a 3pin powered fan?

I got 1 them before and it did nothing, i measured with multimeter and it was 12v in and 11.5v out lol, should have made one myself with a resistor.
