PSU for 295x2 in crossfire.

Hm, I wonder if we will see an nVidia competitor to this card once 980/970 are out, they should have lower power consumption so it should be possible...

Well I might just sell my 290x, it's just that people said it's a great companion card for the 295x2

Won't overclock the cards at all. CPU is Haswell 4770k @ 4.5Ghz.

You should expect to see up to ~1000w or so at the wall for that lot in more demanding games. (I saw a peak of 1026w with Sleeping Dogs Extreme benchmark with cpu @4.8 and 290x3 @1000/1250 stock volts for example)

A good 1200w PSU like the Superflower 1200w Plat should see you well.
I've seen it pull 1640w at the wall with three 290's overclocked to over 1200 with +200mv and it didn't bat an eyelid. Haven't been able to trip it so far :D
If you did want to OC for 24/7, then dual PSU or a quality 1500-1600w perhaps.
