Got a MSI B450 tomahawk motherboard with Ryzen 2600 and an old graphics card and PSU, looking for a compatible PSU to add a MSI Vega 56 to the system.

Bitfenix Formula would be starting level:

(because of artificial current limiters you need to use two separate PCI-e cables)

If you want to decrease amount of unnecessary cables this Antec would be semi modular:

For fully modular 10 year warranty PSU Seasonic Focus Plus Gold is always well priced.

Seasonic relaxed overcurrent/short circuit protection of Focus serie to account for Vega's insane current spikes in last year's January.

Wasn't there a problem with seasonic PSU with Vega 56 GPU.

Not that I am aware of and I have 2 seasonic PSU's and a Vega56, Vega64 and now Radeon 7 and have used them on all 3. I have a 860 Platinum edition and a 750 Focus platinum and tbh both PSU's have been perfect. The 860 Platinum happily runs a TR 1950x, 64gb DDR4 3466, Vega/Radeon 7 (currently got both in there) and everything else like nvme, a couple of raided ssd and a couple of mech 8tb's. I also have a Kolink Continuum 850 platinum supply and that also has no issues with vega but I haven't tried radeon 7 on that one.

Well I’m on my second vega 56 having sent the first back.

Primarily due to coil whine.

This second card I have it again although not as bad as the first.

Now I’m either very unlucky or, my antec true power 650w psu is struggling. It is 8 years old so, it’s possible.

So, if I could also get a power supply recommendation under £100 that would be good.

Just need to run 3 ssd’s And the usual hardware off it including the Vega 56
